Mecie Eure Byrum, 90, of Middle Swamp Road, Corapeake, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Down East Health & Rehab, Gatesville.
A native of Gates County, she was a homemaker and a member of Middle Swamp Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Billy Byrum of Sunbury; two sisters, Linda Eure and Lillian Taylor, both of Eure; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19 at Middle Swamp Baptist Church with the Rev. Burt Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence.
