Cody Francis Herman, 19, of Bosley Road, Sunbury, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born in Clearwater, Fla., he was a graduate of Gates County High School and was attending The College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City.
Survivors include his parents, Mark E. and Ray Daniels Herman; a sister, Jennifer Herman; and a brother, Nicholas Herman, all of Sunbury; his maternal grandmother, Bessie Daniels of Sunbury; and his paternal grandparents, Harold and Anita Herman of Gainesville, Fla.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville. Burial will follow in Damascus Christian Church Cemetery, Sunbury. The family will receive friends on from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10 in the funeral home and all other times at the residence.
