COMO – A Hertford County couple is seeking help from the public.

After their home was broken into last month, Clarence and Lexus Everette are offering a $500 reward for the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Hertford County Sheriff Juan Vaughan reported that the Everette’s home, located at 122 Murphy Road in Como, was broken into sometime on or around September 20.

“Someone broke into the home and pretty much ram-sacked one of the rooms,” Sheriff Vaughan said.

Taken from the home was a coin jar valued at $400 and a desktop computer.

The Everette’s posted an advertisement in this publication for the $500 reward.

Sheriff Vaughan and the Everette’s are both asking anyone who has information about the crime to report it to the Sheriff’s office.

“We would appreciate any information that a person might have,” the sheriff said. “It may not seem like much, but anything someone may have seen could be important.”

Those with information can call the Hertford County Sheriff’s Office at 358-7800 or the Hertford County Crimestoppers line at 358-7841.
