Ruth Ann Pierce of Aulander died Monday, September 14, 2009 at her residence.
Survivors include a son, George Running Deer Pierce of Aulander; an adopted daughter, Danielle Pierce of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, the Rev. Willie Darden Jr. of Enfield and Carlis Darden of Philadelphia, PA; a sister, Twana Darden of Boyden, VA; and one grandchild
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Pierce Family Cemetery-Mill Pond, Ahoskie.
