Gracie Mae Chamblee Lassiter, 72, of Briarfield Drive, Ahoskie, died Friday, September 11, 2009 at Bertie Memorial Hospital, Windsor.
A native of Bertie County, she was a retired farm worker. She was a member of Truway Holiness Church of God in Christ, Windsor.
Survivors include a son, Michael Ray Lassiter of Colerain; daughters, Linda Brinkley and Peggy Lassiter, both of Colerain, and Shirley Lassiter and Lisa Lassiter, both of Powellsville; brothers, Robert Chamblee of Windsor, Odell Chamblee of Chocowinity, Donald Chamblee of Colerain and David Chamblee of Connecticut; sisters, Nancy Chamblee and Rosa Lee Bass, both of Colerain; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 14 at Truway Holiness Church of God in Christ with Superintendent Clarence Freeman officiating. Burial was in the Wilder-Cherry Family Cemetery, Aulander.
Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Aulander, handled the arrangements.
