Last minute changes affected the North Carolina Independent School eight-man football schedule.

Lawrence Academy was scheduled to open its season tomorrow night (Friday) at home against Parrott Academy. That game has now been postponed for a week and moved to Parrot.

The schedule change came about when Cresset Christian Academy cancelled their season late last week. That left each of the eight-man teams with an open date and forced the rescheduling of the season.

In addition to Lawrence’s change, Northeast Academy will now host Word of God Christian Academy on August 28.

The schedule for Northeast Academy is as follows:

Aug. 28 – Word of God

Sept. 4 – at Rocky Mount

Sept. 11 – Halifax Academy

Sept. 18 – at Lawrence Academy

Sept. 25 – Hobgood Academy

Oct. 2 – Cary Christian

Oct. 9 – at Parrott Academy

Oct. 16 – Trinity

Oct. 23 – at St. Davids.
