James A. Tyner, Jr., 62, of Woodland died Monday, August 10, 2009 at Halifax Memorial Hospital, Roanoke Rapids.
A native of Northampton County, he was a member of First Baptist Church Rich Square.
Survivors include his parents, James A. Tyner, Sr. and Louise Stephenson Tyner of Woodland; three brothers, William Tyner of Woodland, Milton Tyner and Raymond Tyner, both of Rich Square; four sisters, Evelyn T. Bell of Rich Square, Odessa T. Boyd of Murfreesboro, Rosa Tyner-Bond of Windsor and Brenda T. Robinson of Rich Square.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16 at First Baptist Church Rich Square with the Rev. William C. Clark officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Hunters Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
