AHOSKIE – Those wishing to get an early look at three local teams can do so Thursday night.

Hertford County High School will host a varsity football scrimmage at 6 p.m. Thursday night in which the Bears, Gates County High School, Northampton County High School – East and Southern Vance will square off.

“We encourage everyone to come out and see what some of our local teams are looking like early on,” HCHS Head Coach Scott Privott said. “We’re going to have the opportunity to get out there and hit someone else for the first time.”

The Bears, Rams, Red Barons and Raiders will each run 10 offensive plays and 10 defensive plays and have the opportunity to square off against each other.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. and admission has been set at $4.
