Hazel Stallings Hofler, 90, of Brookridge Baptist Retirement Home in Winston-Salem, died Saturday, August 8, 2009.
Formerly of Sunbury, she was a native of Gates County and a retired sales person from the Young Men’s Shop in Suffolk, VA. She was also a member of Damascus Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty H. Watson of Clemmons; a son, James Carroll Hofler of Newport News, VA; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10 at Damascus Christian Church Cemetery, Sunbury, with the Rev. E. Vernon Gilmer, Jr. officiating. Friends may join the family in the church social hall following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gates County Rescue Squad, Gatesville, NC 27938.
