MUFRESSBORO – In the wake of a “shots fired” call Saturday night, Murfreesboro Police are searching for a resident of that community, Jaquan Holloman, 18.

According to Murfreesboro Police Chief Darrell Rowe, the initial report was received at 11:08 p.m. when a caller said shots had been fired in the area of Fat Milton’s Restaurant in Murfreesboro, but responding officers were unable to locate any vehicle or anybody who knew anything about the incident.

At 12:40 a.m. that same night, at the police department, the driver of a vehicle reported having been fired upon in that area. Officers found that the vehicle had, indeed, been struck by gunfire four times in the passenger area.

Further investigation by Sgt Joe Crist of the Murfreesboro Police Department, Rowe said, resulted in warrants being issued for the arrest of Holloman, who Monday afternoon was still at large.

“I would ask Mr. Holloman to turn himself in to the Murfreesboro Police Department,” Rowe said Monday. “It would be in his best interest to go ahead and get this matter rectified.”

The police chief commended Crist for his quick investigation of the incident.

“We were very lucky,” the chief said, “that no one was injured.”
