Linton L. Joyner Sr. of Aulander died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.
A native of Hertford County, he was a member of St. John Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Joyner of the home; two sons, Linton Joyner Jr. of Pinetops and Christopher Joyner of Raleigh; a daughter, Maria Joyner of Wilson; three brothers, Jessie Joyner, Clarence Joyner and James Joyner, all of Aulander; three sisters, Peggy Ann Moran of Norfolk, VA, Esther Lewis of Baltimore, MD and Virginia Eason of Aulander; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 30 at St. John Second Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
