Barbara Ann Thompson, 55, of Windsor died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A native of Bertie County, she was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Colerain and worked as a machine operator at Hamilton Beach.
Survivors include her husband, Garland G. Cooper of Windsor; two sons, Garland Cooper Jr. and Timothy Cooper, both of Windsor; a daughter, Angela Horton of Windsor; two brothers, Willie Outlaw and Bradford Outlaw, both of Powellsville; five sisters, Gladys Thompson of Hartford, CT, Lillian Freeman of Powellsville, Rosiland Thompson of New Haven, CT, Theresa Thompson of New Haven, CT, Nora Douglas of Harrellsville; and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 20 at Sandy Point Missionary Baptist Church in Windsor with the Rev. Nathaniel Thompson officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
