Myrtle Rodgers

Myrtle “Elaine” Foulk Rodgers, 47, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Gates County, she was a graduate of Chowan College.
She was a member of Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ where she formally served on the usher board and choir.
Survivors include her husband, Isaac Rodgers III; one daughter, Gloria Christine Rodgers, one son, Isaiah Christopher Rodgers, all of Franklin, VA; mother, Gloria Beatrice Foulk of Gates; one sister, Janice D. Foulk of Gates; and two brothers, Hurley A. Foulk of Virginia Beach, VA and John Foulk of Laurel, MD.
Viewing will take place from 12 noon – 7 pm and the family will greet visitors 5-7pm, Tuesday, July 7 at T.E. Cooke- Overton Funeral Home, Inc., Suffolk, Va.
The family will receive visitors at 1829 Sandbanks Road Gates, at all other times.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p m. on Wednesday, July 8 at Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ.
