Theresa Brooks Jones, 78, of Dove Lane, Aulander, died Friday, June 5, 2009 in her home.
A native of Newberry, FL, she was a retired caregiver for the elderly; she had also worked as a waitress.
Survivors include four daughters, Carol Cox of Tuscaloosa, AL, Brenda Drawhorn, Linda Jones and Karen Jones, all of Mt. Juliet, TN; three sons, Joel Griffin Gibbs of Alvin, TX, Rodney Bruce Gibbs of Ahoskie and Ronald Dwayne Jones of Aulander; 31 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 7 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, by the Rev. Raleigh Johnson. A private burial will be held at a later time.
Friends may join the family in the funeral home following services and all other times at the home of Ronald and Lisa Jones, 109 Dove Lane, Aulander.
