Ronald Louis Hayes, 56, of Perry School Road, Colerain, died Monday, May 18, 2009 in Colerain.
A native of Bertie County, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Colerain. He was employed at Newport News Shipyard.
Survivors include sons, Arnold Raynor of Wilson and Tremayne Bunch of Newport News, VA; daughters, Tonya Marlin of Raleigh and Meyoshi Leary and Francesca Hayes, both of Colerain; sisters, Joyce Ann Leary and Doris Hayes, both of Powellsville, Janette Harrell of Ahoskie and Beulah Harrell of Colerain; brothers, Roy Drake and Larry Moore, both of Powellsville, James Drake of Newport News, VA, Robert Perry of Colerain, Ralph Edwards of Murfreesboro, John Dembry of Aulander, Raleigh Edwards, Ricky Britt and Tony Edwards, all of Ahoskie, and Rodney Dembry of New York, NY; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 23 at First Baptist Church, Colerain, with the Rev. Mary Drake officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
