Louis Earl Newsome of Ahoskie died Sunday, May 3, 2009.
He was a member and Deacon at New Ahoskie Baptist Church, a member of the C.S. Brown Consistory and a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Dr. Dimple M. Newsome of Ahoskie; three sons, Mark E. Newsome of Bettendorf, Iowa, Louis A. Newsome of Apex and Timothy A. Newsome of Dallas, TX; three daughters, Mavoia Phuse of Cary, Candyce Newsome of Ahoskie and Barbara Josie Newsome of Orlando, FL; a brother, Carter Newsome of Wilmington; a sister, Juanita Moore of Durham; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6 at New Ahoskie Baptist Church with Dr. C.G. Newsome officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie.
