Maxine Bond Ballard, 82, of Barfield Road died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA.
A native of Missouri, she a retired bookkeeper and secretary of Ballard’s Garage in Gatesville and a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Wesley Ballard, Jr.; two daughters, Karen Riley of Osage Beach, MO and Sharon Jenkins of Eure; a son, Gary Dean Ballard of Suffolk, VA; a sister, Viola Bradbury of Edwardsville, KS; a brother, Billy Joe Bond of Gardner, KS; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 1 in Reynoldson Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Billy Presley.
Friends may join the family on Thursday, April 30 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and all other times at the residence.
