Amecia Vaughan Bowling, formerly of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC. She was a native of Hertford County. Survivors include her husband, Derrick Bowling; a daughter, Kamecia Maggette; one brother, Howard L. Taylor, Jr.; and three sisters, Khalilah R. Taylor, Terryca Taylor and Christa Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 23 at New Haven Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, by the Rev. Lloyd Gatling. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
