Curtis Harrell

Curtis Ann Harrell, 64, formerly of Lewiston, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at The Ahoskie House.
Mrs. Harrell was born September 4, 1944 in Portsmouth, VA, the daughter of the late Stanley Harrell and Carew Jernigan Harrell.
She was a licensed practical nurse and worked for many years at Bertie Memorial Hospital in Windsor and the Albemarle Villa in Williamston.
Mrs. Harrell was a caregiver and friend to many neighbors, carrying them to doctor’s appointments and assisting them with buying groceries and other needs her neighbors would have.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Minutolo Williams and her husband, Lloyd “Hank”, of Harrellsville; her son, Steven Davis and his wife, April, of Aulander; her sisters, Alma Futrell of Murfreesboro and Diane Peele of Colerain; and four grandchildren, Ethan C. Williams, Joshua Williams, Brittney N. Davis and Kaylea M. Davis.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Hoggard Cemetery with the Rev. Wint Hale officiating.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.
