Mildred Bell

EURE – Mildred Felton “Minnie” Bell, 68, of Taylor Mill Road, Eure, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
A native of Gates County, she was retired as the Administrative Officer of the Hertford-Gates District Health Department. She had formerly been the Personnel Manager at Ahoskie Manufacturing Company, later Kellwood. She and her husband also owned and operated Bell Furniture Company for 16 years.
A member of Eure Christian Church, she had been attending Eure Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Crown Victoria Association Vintage Car Club.
Survivors include her husband, Sidney R. Bell; and two sisters, Janette Edwards of Eure and Jackie Neely of Fuquay-Varina.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29 at Eure Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in the Eure Christian Church Cemetery.
Friends may join the family from 7-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 at Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville.
