Ruth Hoggard Hill, 57, of Bull Hill Road, Windsor, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Duke Hospital, Durham.
A native of Bertie County, she was a Kindergarten teacher at Bethel Christian Academy, along with a Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School leader at Askewville Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband, Frederick Martin Hill of the home; two daughters, Maranda Hill of Ahoskie and Martina Hill Rigg of Seaboard; three brothers, George Hoggard and Emanuel Hoggard, both of Windsor, and Raymond Hoggard Jr. of Greenville; and one sister, Mary Hoggard of Windsor.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Bethel Assembly of God with Rev. R. O. Denton Jr. and Rev. Cheryl Denton officiating. Burial will follow in Hoggard Family Cemetery.
