POWELLSVILLE – A two-vehicle crash blocked a portion of US 13 this morning (Friday).

The accident, which occurred around 9 a.m., took place south of Powellsville between Hexlena Road and Piney Woods Chapel Church.

The medical condition of those involved in the crash is not known at this time; however, two EastCare helicopters were summoned from Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Those choppers reportedly landed at Piney Woods Chapel Church.
