Joan Gatling Taylor, 56, of Aulander died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
She was a member of Aulander First Baptist Church and formerly employed with Sara Lee in Tarboro.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Ronald Taylor of Aulander; her mother, Mable Gatling of Aulander; sons, Crenshaw Jones of Upper Marlboro, MD, Jeffrey Jones of Raleigh and Ronald Taylor Jr. of Aulander; daughters, Tammy Jones-Smith of Raleigh and Kimberly T. Whitaker of Aulander; brothers, Willie Gatling of Lewiston, Ray Chester Gatling of Williamston and Timothy Gatling of Aulander; sisters, Dianne Gatling of Aulander, Angellia Harris of Lewiston and Ella Mae Artis of Paterson NJ and four grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Aulander First Baptist Church with the Rev. Timothy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
