POTECASI – Two murders, one day, same town.

The Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald learned late Friday afternoon that the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office was investigating the possibility of another murder in Potecasi. Northampton Sheriff’s Captain D.M. Harmon said by telephone that officers were summoned to Lot 31 of Potecasi Mobile Home Park around 5 p.m. in regards to a subject that apparently had been shot in the head. Captain Harmon said officers were investigating the case. The SBI was summoned to assist. The identity of the second victim was not known as of News-Herald press time on Friday night. The murder victim from Friday morning, Anthonio Parker, resided at Lot 27 in Potecasi Mobile Home Park. Captain Harmon said he was unsure at this time if the two cases were related.
