Jean Longshore Traylor, 85, a native of LaGrange, GA, died October 15, 2008 at Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, Va. She was the widow of Rev. Bill Joe Traylor.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eure Christian Church by the Rev. Michael Brinkley, the Rev. Wayne Gardner and her brother, Howard Longshore. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge.
Mrs. Traylor retired from the Albemarle Regional Library and was a member of Eure Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Gina Eure Godwin of Eure; a son, Joseph Steven Traylor of Eure; stepmother, Pat Longshore of LaGrange; four brothers, William Longshore, Howard Longshore and Teddy Longshore, all of LaGrange and Hilton Longshore of Albany; four sisters, Ruth Roberts, Reba Carson and Nita Adcock, all of LaGrange and Dot Herring of Moreland, GA; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
