WINDSOR – Tonight’s meeting of the Bertie County Board of Education has been cancelled.

The meeting, originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tonight (Monday), was cancelled early this morning due to illness among senior staff of the school district.

Bertie County Schools Public Information Officer Brent Todd said no date has been set for the meeting.

“We will advertise the meeting as a called session once a new time and date are set,” Todd said. “We will alert the public as to the new time as soon as one is set.”

The board agenda included only a minor number of items including educational access cable channel presentation, a fundraiser request and the disposition of a photograph of Nettie Collins- Hart.
