Millennium gains win

AULANDER – The Millennium Civic Organization outlasted the Northeastern Orthopedics Neo-Pods here Tuesday.

Millennium scored six times in the bottom of the fifth inning to take an 18-17 win over the Neo-Pods in the Coach-Pitch division of the Aulander Youth League.

After one inning, the score stood 4-3 in favor of the Pods and they pushed the lead to 8-5 after two innings. The score reached 14-12 after four complete.

The Millennium Civic Organization was led by Dashaune Cherry who was a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Isaiah Forsythe had three hits in four at-bats and scored twice. Kole Liverman and Oscar Jones were each 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.

The Neo-Pods were paced by Brandon Ball and Daquan Wilson, each of whom was 4-for-4. Ball scored four times and Wilson three. Mike Barber was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

ViQuest n 20, Metal Tech n 10

ViQuest scored 17 times in the first inning and rolled to a 20-10 win over Metal Tech Tuesday.

ViQuest was led by Brittney Parker, who was 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Britney Davis and Lauren Coley were each 1-for-3 while scoring two runs each.

Lauren Outlaw was a perfect 1-for-1 for Metal Tech with two runs scored. Emily Grace was 1-for-2 with a run scored.
