AHOSKIE – Jarrett Harrell pitched a no-hitting in the first life pitching game for the Midget League of the Ahoskie Recreation Department’s summer league.

Harrell recorded 13 strikeouts in his teams (Integrated Family Services) 10-0 victory over Kiwanis. He also was 3-for-3 at the plate with five RBIs.

Lofton Lassiter, Tyler Page and Justin Saunders were each 2-for-3. Lassiter had two RBIs and Page added one. Nick Hoggard was 1-for-3.

“All three pitchers did well for both teams,” said IFS coach Jerry Harrell. “Nick Hoggard also played good defense with Chris Wilkins laid down a sweet bunt to get a base hit.”

Kiwanis n 6, Pizza Inn n 5

Kiwanis scored three runs in the fourth and two in the sixth to pull out a 6-5 Midget League win over Pizza Inn May 29.

Landson Malone, Slade Cowan, John Jenkins, Brandon Jones and Joseph Ambrose were all 2-for-3 for Kiwanis.

Stoney Creek n 12, Home Life Care n 1

Ackerman Grace struck out 14 batters to lead Stoney Creek by Home Life Care 12-1 in a Little League game May 27.

Offensively, the winners were paced by Bryan Merritt’s 3-for-4 performance that included a double. Brandon Terry was 2-for-3 and Tucker Warren was 2-for-4 with a double. Grace added a double while Bobby Merritt and Quincy Godwin each had a single

Home Life Care was paced by a triple form Thomas Mosley and a single off the bat of Woody Lowe. Eric Ortiz struck out nine in a losing effort.

Golden Skillet n 14, Savin & Hill n 5

Golden Skillet defeated Savin & Hill 14-5 here recently.

Marvin Harrell pitched all five innings for the win for Golden Skillet. He also checked in with a 1-for-3 performance at the plate that included an inside-the-park homerun.

Austin Britton was 3-for-4 for Golden Skillet and Miles Harrell was 2-for-3. Cade Larabee and Cody Cobb had one hit each.

Mitchell Godwin paced Savin & Hill with a 2-for-2 night while Casey Howard was 2-for-3. Petie Boone checked in a 1-for-2.

Golden Skillet n 13, Savin & Hill n 8

After trailing 4-0, Golden Skillet plated nine runs in the fourth inning to come back and defeat Savin & Hill 13-8 on May 27.

Miles Harrell struck out seven in the winning effort for Golden Skillet.

Offensively, the winning team was led by Austin Britton who was 2-for-4 with a pair of homeruns. Miles Harrell, Marvin Harrell and Cade Larabee each had one hit.

Mitchell Godwin led Savin & Hill with a 1-for-3 effort including a two-run homerun. Petie Boone had a 2-for-3 night at the plate while Daniel Merritt, Brock Merritt and Scott Lowe were each 1-for-3.

Ellen’s Hair Affair n 8, Catherine’s n 2

Ellen’s Hair Affair defeated Catherine’s 8-2 in the junior girl’s softball league Tuesday.

Lauren Outlaw picked up the pitching victory, striking out four. Offensively, Ellen’s was led by Sandi Goolsby, Chelsea Wallace, Alexis Bolam and Margaret Nelson.

Lions n 11, Athlete’s Foot n 3

Lions scored every inning to defeat Athlete’s Foot 11-3 in a Little League game May 27.

Landon Larabee and Matthew Judge were each 4-for-4 to lead Lions while Tyler Hoggard was 3-for-4. Checking in at 1-for-4 were Clay Barmer, Jefferson Kilshimer and Matthew Evans.

Athlete’s Foot was led by Tyquan Davis, who was 3-for-4. Ryan Weaver and Hunter Benton were each 2-for-4. Tavin Simmons was 1-for-4.

Lions n 11, Stoney Creek n 8

The Lions rallied from five runs down to score three times in the third and four each in the fourth and fifth innings to defeat Stoney Creek 11-8 here May 30.

Landon Larabee was the winning pitcher for Lions and was also 3-for-4 at the plate with a homerun and a double. Matthew Judge and Matt Evans were each 2-for-3 for the evening while Brandon White and Daquan Perry were each 1-for-2.

Checking in at 1-for-4 were Clay Barmer and Tyler Hoggard.

Stoney Creek was led offensively by Ackerman Grace and Tucker Warren, each of whom was 3-for-3. Bobby Merritt was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Brandon Terry and Tyquan Davis each had one hit.

WOW n 20, Integrated Family Service n 6

WOW defeated Integrated Family Service 20-6 here May 29 thanks to a 15-run second inning.

Tyler Jones and J.J. Gatling led WOW. Each player was 4-for-4 at the plate. Evan Simmons was 3-for-4 with two triples

Lions n 22, Home Life Care n 2

Lions scored 11 runs in the fifth inning to defeat Home Life Care 22-2 in a Little League game June 3.

Landon Larabee was a perfect 5-for-5 to lead the team offensively while Clay Barmer and Matthew Judge were each 4-for-5.

Jefferson Kilshimer checked in at 2-for-4 while Tyler Hoggard was 2-for-5. Mary Joe Harrell was 2-for-2 while Matt Evans and Brandon White were each 1-for-2.

Stoney Creek n 10, Athlete’s Foot n 0

Stoney Creek blanked Athlete’s Foot 10-0 here June 3 thanks to an eight strikeout performance by Brandon Terry.

Tucker Warren was 3-for-3 and Bobby Merritt 2-for-2 to lead Stoney Creek. Quincy Godwin was 2-for-3.

David Wilks and Bryan Merritt rounded out the effort with each going 1-for-2.

Golden Skillet n 19, Savin & Hill n 8

Golden Skillet took a 19-8 victory over Savin & Hill Tuesday night.

Miles Harrell led Golden Skillet from the mound with nine strikeouts. Offensively the winning team was also paced by Harrell with his 3-for-3 night at the plate.

Austin Britton was a perfect 2-for-2 for the evening for Golden Skillet while Cody Cobb was 2-for-4 and Chase Colson was 2-for-3.

Also recoding hits were Marvin Harrell, Brandon Owens and Jordan Harrell.

Savin & Hill was paced by Casey Howard at 3-for-3. Daniel Merritt, Scott Lowe, Kahlia M. and Mitchell Godwin each had one hit.
