Frank Moore Sr.

SCOTLAND NECK – Frank Hargrove Moore Sr., 60,

a native of Halifax County, died February 16, 2008. He was the widower of Beverly Armstrong.

Moore was a farmer all of his life.

Survivors include his daughter, Lydia Moore Bone of Nashville; two sons, Bryan Moore of Scotland Neck and Frankie H. Moore Jr. of Rocky Mount;

three brothers, Claude Wilson Moore Jr. of Milledgeville, GA., Wayne White Moore of Clinton and Arnold Reese Moore of Chocowinity; and three grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Sykes Funeral Service in Scotland Neck by the Rev. Ricky Sorie.

Burial will be in the Baptist Cemetery in Scotland Neck.

Lee A. Watson

WINDSOR n Lee Alma Watson, 84, died February 14, 2008 at Three Rivers Nursing Home, Windsor.

A funeral was conducted Sunday at Cedar Landing Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Gilliam Funeral Home was in charge.

Lucille F. Hawkins

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. n Lucille F. Hawkins, 93, died February 14, 2008 at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gilliam Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Windsor. Gilliam Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge.

Sarah L. Martin

CONWAY n Sarah Lanier Martin, 96, a native of Northampton County, died February 17, 2008 at Hampton Woods Complex, Jackson. She was the widow of Russell Martin.

Mrs. Martin worked with the telephone company in Franklin, Va., and also with a pediatrician.

A funeral will be conducted at Bridgers Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Milwaukee Cemetery.

She is survived by one sister, Daisy L. Zwicker of Michigan.

ROCKY MOUNT n Tiffany Dawn Lynch, 24, died February 17, 2008 at Nash General Hospital.

ROCKY MOUNT n Mary Lyons Hines, 84, died February 17, 2008 at Nash General Hospital.

Lubertie R. Pulley

ROCKY MOUNT n Lubertie Richardson Pulley, 69, died February 16, 2008 at Nash General Hospital.

Sarah Howard

AULANDER n Sarah Winnie Harrell Howard, died February 15, 2008 at her residence.

A funeral was conducted Monday at Zion Grove Baptist Church, Aulander, by the James M. Mercer. Burial will be in the family cemetery. Reynolds Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is in charge.

Mrs. Howard was a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Loyal Thomas Howard, Wilbert “Linwood” Howard and Earnest Howard, all of Aulander and Carlton Howard of Conway; six daughters, Gladys Pittiford of Alexandria, Va., Beatrice Reynolds of Ahoskie, Elnora Louise Claude of Stony Creek, Va., Pecolia Ann Breathette of Winston-Salem, Doris Powell of Woodland and Cynthia Howard of Aulander; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grnadchild.
