COMO – A marijuana manufacturing operation was discovered Friday.

On a complaint, two Hertford County Sheriff’s Deputies and one Murfreesboro police officer traveled to 909 Statesville Road here.

Upon arriving, Hertford County Sheriff’s Captain Raymond Eure and Lt. Will Liverman along with Murfreesboro Police Lt. Joe Burgess received permission to search the residence of Kevin Patrick Marrow, 32.

According to Sheriff Juan Vaughan, the officers went upstairs where they discovered two rooms with black plastic covering the windows. Inside those rooms, the officers found marijuana plants growing under florescent lights.

Vaughan said the officers also found dried marijuana stems, leaves, flower pots, seed beds, a timer, a hydro-phonic aeration system, a moisture meter and a mason jar containing marijuana.

Marrow was placed under arrest and charged with manufacturing marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Hertford County Detention Center under a $46,000 secured bond.

“I want to thank these three officers for a job well done,” Vaughan said. “This is just another in our attempts to slow down the sale of drugs in Hertford County.”
