Counselors and social workers were made available to Bertie High School students. The school’s Media Center was dedicated to be used for this purpose.

Todd added that all extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday were postponed. He added that any high school student wishing to leave for the day was granted that request as long as the parents or guardians approved.
