Larceny suspects nabbed

JACKSON – Two individuals have been arrested as a result of separate incidents over the holiday weekend, according to the Northampton County Sheriff’s Department.

Northampton County Sheriff Wardie Vincent reported the arrests of Ronald Dwight Vincent and Melody Nicole Taylor in two separate incidents involving suspected larceny.

On Saturday, Melody Nicole Taylor, 27, was arrested after she allegedly took beer from a Shell Gas Station and damaged property.

Sheriff Vincent said Taylor, of Lot 5 in West Wynn Mobile Home Park in Garysburg, was charged with misdemeanor larceny, entry on personal property and harassing phone calls.

She was placed in Northampton County Jail on a $500 secured bond.

Taylor’s first appearance in court was Monday.

Sheriff Vincent also reported the arrest of Ronald Vincent.

Ronald Vincent was arrested after he allegedly took copper wire, aluminum metal and two truck radiators from Redwine’s Garage located on Highway 46 in Garysburg.

Ronald Vincent, 45 of 186 Gin Loop in Garysburg, was charged with felony larceny, first degree trespassing and entry on real property.

Sheriff Vincent said Ronald Vincent taken to Northampton County Jail and was placed on $6,000 secured bond.

Ronald Vincent’s first appearance in court was Monday.

Northampton County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brenda Burnette was the investigating officer in both cases.
