Arrests made in Garysburg fight

GARYSBURG – Officers with the Northampton County Sheriff’s Department have arrested 10 more people in connection with a March 3 incident.

After a party that occurred at a non-profit entity in Garysburg, a fight caused the gathering to end. A person was shot twice after the party ended, leaving Richard Squire Jr. of Jerusalem Lane in Garysburg charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Further investigation into the incident that night has led to a total of 10 more arrests.

Five female subjects were charged with Simple Affray for the two fights that happened at the party.

Those charged in the incident included:

* Taniqua Bolden, 17, of Cleveland Street in Garsyburg;

* Shiniqua Bolden, 17, of Cleveland Street in Garsyburg;

* Titiana Dixon, 16, of Cleveland Street in Garysburg;

* Crystal Smith, 16, of Brought Street in Gaston; and

* Jazmiah Bell, 16, of Lincoln Street in Gaston.

All five will have their first appearance in Northampton County District Court on April 9.

Five other individuals were charged for damage to personal property between the fights and the shooting incident which occurred later in the evening.

“These subjects were seen jumping on top of a white Honda Prelude causing over $2,000 worth of damages,” said Captain D.M. Harmon of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office.

Five males, all from Garysburg, were charged with damage to personal property and placed under a $1,000 bond.

They were Hakeem Cotton, Montrinique Clements, Tracy Mack Claboine, Vontray A. Hughes and Squire.

All of the suspects will have their first appearance April 5.
