AHOSKIE – We want to send you to see one of the hottest country music groups in the nation.

Beginning today and ending May 26, the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald unveils the “Find the Cowboy Boots” contest. The prize is two tickets each to six lucky winners to see the Big and Rich concert on June 3 at the new Carolina Crossroads in Roanoke Rapids.

That concert, held in an outdoor amphitheatre, also features Southern Draw, Danielle Peck, Jason Aldean and Cowboy Troy.

General admission is $35 per person, but you can see it all for free just by paying close attention to your News-Herald during the month of May.

In each edition of the News-Herald (as well as weekly in the Gates County Index and Roanoke-Chowan Shopper), readers can search for a pair of cowboy boots hidden somewhere in these publications.

Upon finding the boots, simply fill out the entry blank (on page 12A in today’s issue) and drop it off at one of the following locations: Ace Hardware of Ahoskie, Phone Zone in either Ahoskie or Murfreesboro or at the News-Herald office in Ahoskie.

The drawing for six pair of tickets will be held at 5 p.m. on May 26.

Who knows, you may be one of the lucky winners to see Big and Rich when they bring their high-energy act to Roanoke Rapids.
