AHOSKIE – Hertford County Board of Commissioner DuPont L. Davis was recently selected to serve on the North Carolina Constitution and Bylaws Committee of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners.

Davis is a veteran Hertford County commissioner and has represented the citizens of Hertford County for nearly 20 years.

Davis has served as Chairman of the Hertford County Board of Commissioners several times, as President of NACAA and Chairman of the Council of Governmental Work Force Development. In addition, Davis has served as Chairman on the Environmental, Taxation and Finance, Education and Human Resources committees for the State of North Carolina. Davis also served on the sentencing review Committee for North Carolina Legislators and was appointed by former Governor Jim Hunt to the Health Coordination Committee.

“I am honored to have been selected as one of five from over 500 North Carolina Commissioners across the state to revise the constitution and bylaws of the NCACC,” Davis said.
