NCSBA honors Bertie Board member

WINDSOR – Seaton Fairless, Vice-Chairman of the Bertie County Board of Education, has been named to the honorary All-State Board by the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA).

Fairless was recognized during the awards ceremony of the Association’s 36th Annual Conference for Board Member Development in Greensboro on November 15.

During his introduction to ceremony attendees, he was noted for his tendency toward accountability, not only of all administrators, but equally of all board members as well.

Fairless is now serving his fourth consecutive four-year term on the Board of Education.

He and his wife Sue have been married for 40 years and have two daughters, Kimberly and Mary Jo.

They have two grandchildren, Phillip,3 and Noah 2.

Fairless, a retired farmer, resides in the Colerain district.
