AHOSKIE – Ticket locations have been announced for an Ahoskie Chamber of Commerce event that will be held Aug. 18 in memory of the late Garry Frymier.

Frymier, the husband of Ahoskie Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Phyllis Frymier, passed away July 27 following a brief, but courageous battle against cancer. He had no medical insurance.

The pork barbecue-fried chicken meal will be served from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at O'Conner's Restaurant, located on Memorial Drive in Ahoskie. Plates are available eat-in or take-out.

There is a minimum donation of $6 per plate. Larger donations are welcomed.

In addition, the Woman's Division of the Ahoskie Chamber will sell delicious homemade desserts.

Advance tickets are available at the Ahoskie Chamber of Commerce office, Godwin Country Meats (Godwin Town Road, Ahoskie), Ahoskie Floral Gardens and the Ahoskie office of the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald.
