Thomas Evans had an RBI-single and Jeffrey Matthews hit a grand slam to give Post 58 an 8-0 advantage after six innings.

Whitehead went five innings and suffered the loss while Lance Thomas threw the final two innings.

&uot;Before the game, I told the team this was an important game to keep our playoff chances alive,&uot; Post 102 head coach Randy Whitaker said. &uot;We only had three hits and you can’t win without hitting. We have to regroup and be ready for our next game.&uot;
