Jackson man charged with rape

JACKSON – Following a two-week investigation, the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest stemming from an alleged rape.

On Friday, Northampton Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Gerri Bowen charged Dennis Wayne Passley, 23, of Jackson with second-degree rape.

Passley was placed in the Northampton County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.

The incident, one that allegedly took place in the Woodland area, was reported by the victim on May 13.

Bowen’s ensuing investigation led her to Passley, who was an acquaintance of the victim.
