Tribbett camp set

MURFREESBORO – Boys from the age of seven to 16 will have an opportunity to learn from the best.

Three different dates in June will see boys from seven to 16 have a chance to participate in the Jim Tribbett Boys Basketball Camp.

Participants will be under the close supervision of high school and college basketball coaches in an atmosphere of fellowship and good, wholesome fun.

The Jim Tribbett camp will be designed to be an action-packed basketball camp designed to stress the individual fundamentals that lead to the team concept.

The cost for the camp will be $75, with a $30 deposit required by April 25. Registration can be done in person between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Helms Center on the campus of Chowan College. Registration can also be done on the first day of each camp session.

Discipline will be key at the camp. With any serious violation of camp regulations, such as damage to the school’s property or other behavior deemed detrimental to the group, resulting in immediate dismissal from the camp. There will be no refund of fees upon expulsion or voluntary withdrawl from the camp.

The first camp will be June 2-4 with the sessions divided into two different time frames. The camp will be held from 1-4 p.m. June 2 and from 9 a.m. until 12 noon June 3 and 4.

The second session will be held from 9 a.m. until 12 noon from June 9-11 with the final session planned for 1-4 p.m. on June 13-15.
