JACKSON – A Jackson man was arrested Thursday on two separate charges of breaking and entering and an attempted breaking and entering of a home in his neighborhood.

Twenty-three year old Curtis Matthew Faison of 2568 Pleasant Grove Road in Jackson was taken into police custody and placed in the Northampton County Jail until posting bond, which was set at $500, later the same day.

According to Northampton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Brenda Burnette, the victims of the alleged crime, Otis and Cathy Allen, were not home when the incident occurred.

Burnette explained that the perpetrator allegedly entered the residence through a sliding glass door during the day when no one was home.

&uot;After talking with different people in the neighborhood, we were able to gather additional information that eventually led to the arrest,&uot; she said. &uot;Many times, people are afraid to get involved in situations like this, but watching out for one another, being aware of your surroundings and communicating to law enforcement officials when something looks unusual or suspicious is important because next time it might be your house.&uot;

Faison is scheduled to appear before the court on September 9.
