NORFOLK, Va. – Susan Michelle Peace, 46, died June 12, 2004, at her home.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Roxobel-Kelford Cemetery by the Rev. Henry Boschen. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor is in charge. Following the service, the family will be at the home of the Rev. Henry and Janet Boschen.

Survivors include her sons, Jason King of Virginia Beach and Justin King of Suffolk; her mother and father, Donald and Barbara King of Norfolk; and her brothers, Michael King of Norfolk and Mitchell King of Suffolk.

LEWISTON – Augustine Lee Spivey, died June 9, 2004.

A funeral was conducted Sunday at Church of God for All People by the Rev. Joseph Watson. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery. Gilliam Funeral Home was in charge.

Eugene S. Bond

LAWRENCE, Mass. – Eugene Sessom &uot;Penny&uot; Bond, a native of Bertie County, died May 6, 2004.

A funeral was conducted Saturday at Spellers Chapel Disciple of Christ by Bishop John Armstrong. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery. Gilliam Funeral Home was in charge.

Bond was employed at Malden Mills for over 40 years.

Survivors include three children, Eugene Bond and Tommie Gene Bond, both of Youngtown, Ohio, and Prenora Morris of Colerain; five sisters, Mary Smallwood, Alice Cox, Rachael Hill and Katherine Pugh, all of Windsor and Willie Ann Bond of Middletown; five brothers, Moses, Henry and Charlie, all of Windsor and Jessie of Williamston and William David of Middletown; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Blannie Bazemore Jr.

LEWISTON – Blannie &uot;Bobby&uot; Bazemore Jr., 76, a native of Bertie County, died June 13, 2004.

A memorial service was conducted Wednesday at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Eugene Harris. Wilder’s Funeral Home, Inc., Aulander, is in charge.

Bazemore was a retired sawmill worker. He was a member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Minerva Moore of Lewiston, Wendell Bazemore, Kenneth Bazemore and Daniel Bazemore, all of Kelford, Cynthia Spivey of Windsor, Annie Smith of Ayden, Barbara Bazemore and Julia Todd, both of Mitchellsville, MD, Randolph Bazemore and Robert Bazemore, both of Washington and Michael Bazemore and Connie Winston, both of Upper Marlboro, Md.; one brother, John Otis &uot;Bit&uot; Bazemore of Lewiston; one sister, Annie Bazemore Clark of Windsor; 22 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

AHOSKIE – Mary Sessoms, died June 13, 2004, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Bethany Baptist Church, Harrellsville, by the Rev. William Clark. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Reynolds Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is in charge.

Mrs. Sessoms was a member of New Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Rickie Sessoms of Durham and Felix Sessoms of Powellsville; two daughters, Sheree Parker of Blackwood, NJ and Robin Deloatch of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Doris Govan of Camden; and six grandchildren.

Robert L. Stokes Jr.

OXEN HILL, Md. – Robert Lee Stokes Jr., died June 10, 2004 in Washington, D.C.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel, Ahoskie. Burial will be in the Grant family cemetery, Potecasi.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline M. Stokes; one daughter, Candyce Martin; his mother, Bevonne Stokes; and one sister, April Milner.

V. Leigh Wills Jr.

SUNBURY – V. Leigh Wills Jr., 69, a native of Suffolk, Va., died June 14, 2004, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. He was the widower of Carol Tillery Wills.

A funeral was conducted Wednesday in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville. Burial was in the Town of Conway Cemetery.

Wills was the retired owner of V. Leigh Wills Accounting and Tax Service. He had served in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his son, Victor Leigh Wills III of Hendersonville; his brother, Alan Wills of Suffolk; and a granddaughter.

Wilhelmina B. Cranford

WINSTON-SALEM -.Wilhelmina Breedlove Cranford, 74, a native of Morganton, died June 6, 2004 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Home Moravian Church. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Church Parlor for friends. A private burial service will be held in the Salem Moravian Graveyard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 1100-C S. Mrs. Cranford graduated from Morganton High School in 1947 and was a graduate of the School of Nursing at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital in 1951. She attended Salem College and was a member of Home Moravian Church.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. William A. Cranford; five sons and one daughter, Peter Cranford of Raleigh, Kevin Cranford of San Diego, Ca., Julia Folk of York, Pa., Roland Cranford of Collingswood, N.J., Bill Cranford of Perkasie, Pa. and Joel Cranford of Las Vegas, NV.; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Phelps of Windsor and Mrs. C.S. Burgess of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Frank Breedlove; and 10 grandchildren.
