Should other schools in the local area follow Colerain Elementary’s lead and extend the school day by one hour, twice a week, in an effort to better educate young students?

If the students really want to learn, then they will control themselves in the classroom, learn to listen to the teachers and practice showing respect for the teachers, other students and for themselves. Funny how through the years students have been able to learn what they needed to know between the hours of 8:00 to 3:00pm. What is two hours a week going to accomplish? If the teachers could be free to discipline and demand the attention and respect from the students, then they may be able to accomplish what they are trying to do!
