I think Sheriff Vaughan will be the Sheriff for as long as his heart desires. He has been a wonderful asset to Hertford County and the law enforcement community as a whole. Bertie County would be lucky at best to get someone HALF as good as Sheriff Vaughan has been to his county and to his deputies. There is a reason people don't drop like flies at Hertford County S.O. and that is because people respect him for the honorable man that he is. Long live Sheriff Vaughan! May we continue to have you lead us for many years to come!
