Shots fired at Onyx Club

POTECASI — A man has been arrested after shots were fired at the Onyx Club.

According to Northampton County Sheriff Wardie Vincent, Bryant Stephenson, 21, of 132 Charlie Powell Road, Murfreesboro, was arrested after officers responded to the Onyx Club in reference to shots being fired.

Deputy Pair and Deputy Johnson responded to the call received on November 15. Vincent said once the officers arrived they received information on a subject, later identified as Stephenson, had been in an altercation.

Upon locating and searching Stephenson, Vincent said the officers found 13 crack cocaine rocks on the suspect along with a bag of marijuana.

Stephenson was charged with felony possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was place in the Northampton County Jail on a $60,000 bond.

Vincent said the investigation is on going and more charges are forthcoming. He commended the officers for their “outstanding” job.
