Clifton B. Davis

AHOSKIE – Clifton Barrington “C. B.” Davis, 80, died July 17, 2016 after a lengthy illness.

A native of Northampton County, he founded C. B. Davis Casket Company in Conway, which served many funeral homes throughout the Eastern North Carolina and Virginia area. C. B. loved people and he was, especially, strong and active in the 12 Step Program throughout Eastern North Carolina for 28 years. He was considered an “Old Timer” in the Murfreesboro Group.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Rachel Harrell Davis of their home in Ahoskie; children, Pam and Eddie Thomason of Roanoke Rapids, Keith and Deanie Davis of Conway, Chuck and Sandra Davis of Conway, and Monica and Ken Bulls of Franklin, VA; stepson, Paul Johnson and wife, Ann, of Scotland Neck and stepdaughter, Laura Johnson of Ahoskie; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one brother, William Thomas Davis.

The family will be receiving friends at the Murfree Center on Broad St. in Murfreesboro, NC at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. A Graveside Service for Mr. Davis will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Town of Conway Cemetery.
