SEVERN – Mr. Leslie Howell Britt, age 77 of Severn, NC, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Life Care Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC.

Mr. Britt was born November 2, 1938 in Northampton County, NC, the son of the late Alvin L. Britt and Mattie Tillery Britt. He was a general contractor before his retirement and served the Military Police in the US Army.

He is survived by his sons, David Kevin Britt and his wife Billie Jean, and Barry Keith Britt; his former wife, Carol Britt; his brother, Ronald Owen Britt and his wife Gail; three sisters, Janet Britt Davis, Anita Britt and Andrea Britt Bryant her husband David; two grandsons, David Britt and Dillon Kevin Britt; and five nieces.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Severn Cemetery in Severn, NC with Rev. Jim Cox officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
