David C. Miller

PLYMOUTH – David Carroll Miller, 76, of Brinkley Place, Plymouth, died Thursday, January 29, 2015 in his home.

Mr. Miller was born April 10, 1938 in Colerain, Bertie County, NC, and was the son of the late Dennie David and Ina Rhea Pierce Miller.  A 1956 graduate of Colerain High School, he was employed with Thompson Ford in Hampton, VA for 23 years, retiring in 1995.  Answering God’s call to the ministry in 1978, he served as a board member, and NC State Supervisor for New Heart Ministries, USA, and was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Royce and Merle; by two sisters, Doris and Vivian; and by his wife of 46 years, Dawn Twiford Bunch Miller.

Surviving are his daughter, DeIna Miller Coleman; three step-sons, Hermon L. Bunch, Joseph M. Bunch, and Timothy E. Bunch; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 7, at 3:00 p.m. in Victory Christian Fellowship Church, 518 Hwy 32 South, Plymouth, by the Rev. Avis Hammond.

Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Edenton, assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
