TYNER – John Edward Bivens, 78, of Virginia Road, Tyner, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, who is handling the arrangements. A private burial will follow in the Milwaukee Cemetery.
