AHOSKIE – James William Vernon, 80, of Catherine Street, died Friday, August 22, 2014 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2014 in the Rich Square Chapel of Wilder’s Funeral Home who is handling the arrangements. Burial will be in the Staton Family Cemetery, Scotland Neck.
